Bristol Anti Stigma Alliance (BASA), are running an event "In celebration of World Mental Health Day" at Cabot Circus on Saturday the 7th of October. There will be conversation about emotional wellbeing and lots of fun activities. Changes Bristol have been invited to recreate our successful Survive or Thrive Exhibition for the day. All welcome!


Dragon Boat Race

There's still time to join in! We'll be needing people to row the boat and to help out on dry land with our stall.  You'll need to raise £125 in sponsorship to be a rower so if you've not done so yet, now is definitely the time to sign up!

It's a really fun event and there are lots of stalls on the quayside to investigate as well as watching the exciting action on the water.

Service User Forum

Wednesday 30th August 1-3pm

The first part of the meeting will be for members of the Knowle, Hartcliffe and Easton groups only (this is because we have different funding for these groups and they operate slightly differently) and then all are welcome to join us from  1.45pm.

If you are unable to make it to the forum but you have comments or ideas that you'd like to feed back, please do write down your thoughts and give them to your meeting facilitators to pass on.

Please let us know by Friday 25th if you plan to attend.

Charity Black Tie and Casino Night

The Secret Cabaret

Friday 17th February at 9.30pm

The Piano Bar at the Bristol Hippodrome

The Secret Cabaret is a new monthly musical theatre cabaret evening, held in the Piano Bar at the Bristol Hippodrome. The February cabaret will be held on Friday 17th @ 9.30pm and aims to raise money and donate profits to Changes Bristol as the nominated charity of the month.

Basket weaving at Boiling Wellness

Monday 16th January and Monday 23rd January 2017

Bex has organised a basket weaver to come along in January. She will lead us through making a simple basket, it will be really lovely and relaxed weaving around a nice fire. Bex will need to know numbers for this activity so that enough willow can be soaked, so let her know if you are interested by Monday 19th December 2016. We will try to have an alternative activity available for anyone who doesn't book.

Clifton Christmas Fayre

Sunday 4th December 2016

Changes will have a stall at the Clifton Christmas Fayre, filled with hand crafted items made by Changes members and some delicious doughnuts too. Come along and enjoy the fair, buy your Christmas cards and stocking fillers and get into the Christmas spirit!

Changes Crafting Community Drop-In

Thursday 3rd November 2016 2pm-8pm in the Changes Office at Barton Hill Settlement

Drop in any time between 2pm and 8pm where we will be making hand-crafted items to raise funds with over the Christmas season! If you have your own projects to work on and donate then please do bring them in, otherwise we will have some Christmas themed activities to keep you occupied. For further information see here.

Sponsored Walk

23rd October 2016 11.30am onwards from Bristol Parkway to Yate

Dan, one of our members is having a sponsored walk to raise money for us. Good on ya Dan! He'll be walking from Bristol Parkway to Yate and back again on 23rd October. 

He's setting off at 11.30 - do go and give him some support - maybe walk some or all of the way with him?
