Boiling Wellness Update 6th June

6 June 2016

It was another lovely sunny day at Boiling Wells today and with the help of volunteer officer Alex we made tea light holders from wood reclaimed from pallet dividers. We had lots of shapes and sizes to choose from and picked ones we found most interesting. First we drilled holes for the tea lights.

We drilled the holes to different depths depending on how low we wanted the tea lights to sit and then set about sanding the rough wood to a smooth finish.

When the blocks were smoothly finished, some of us treated the wood with oil or decorated it, while others left a natural finish.

We also drank some freshly made elderflower tea!

We were all very pleased with the finished articles

For lunch we made butternut squash carbonara again, which is becoming a firm favourite

After lunch we collected elderflowers to make elderflower cordial

Boiling Wellness takes place every Monday 11am to 3pm and is free to all Changes members!
