Boiling Wellness 13th February

Today we were based at the farm as recent work at Boiling Wells has made parts of the site inaccessible. We took advantage of the facilities to bake some cakes for a pop up café to be held the following day.

We made a lemon drizzle cake and a chocolate chip and cherry cake for the pop up café, then a cheeky extra lemon drizzle cake for us to enjoy after lunch! Lunch was a delicious mixed vegetable cottage pie.

After lunch, while we waited for the cakes to cool, we went on a walk around the farm. We saw a tree surgeon at work and some early Spring plants starting to grow.

We couldn't resist checking up on the farm animals who all seemed very content as they enjoyed the warm sun.

We arrived back with just enough time to have a last cup of tea and a slice of lemon drizzle cake before we went home.
